There has been much progress on the site over the last month.

The Rose Window installation is now complete and this has allowed work to resume on the West Porch – the external slabbing is finished and construction of the main structure walls is in progress. Scaffolding is in place ready for the higher level works to progress.

Gutter reinstatement and decoration is ongoing around the Chancel roof, and external groundworks (paving etc.) are nearing completion but these are both weather dependent.

Internally the main floor tiling and decorative works are both close to completion. The rebuild of the pulpit structure is finished. Testing and commissioning of lighting, heating and other mechanical and electrical systems are in their final stages.

While the risk of a further delay to the project remains, particularly from late deliveries of specialist materials and the recent spell of poor weather, our contractors are working hard to mitigate this risk as much as possible.
