Parish Groups

All Saints Ladies Group

A friendly group of ladies meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month in St Philip & St James Church Hall at 8pm. The meetings are sometimes talks from varied speakers, sometimes craft evenings, walks, theatre outings. social evenings etc. We choose a charity each year and have fund raising activities for that charity. We try to offer a wide range of activities and a friendly welcome to anyone wishing to join us. For more information contact us on 01252 627848.

For details and times of our meetings see our Parish Diary or the Parish Magazine.

Both of our churches have active choirs who support our weekly worship, and who are available for weddings. In addition they jointly perform choral works such as requiems for Holy Week and All Saints, as well as carol singing!

Craft Group

Crafty and Creative?

We’ve heard there are lots of creative people in our congregations, so why don’t we get together to share ideas and skills, or even to learn new ones? All welcome, experienced or beginners. Initially it was to stock the Craft stall for the Christmas Tree Festival but has continued as a group afterwards.
So far the group has raised over £500 from sales of crafts at the Christmas Tree Festival and other events.

All welcome-bring a friend if you like or come alone and make new ones. Don’t worry if you haven’t done much craft/sewing before. We have a go at lots of different crafts and enjoy a tea, coffee or hot chocolate and a chat. Materials supplied. Donations towards materials accepted but otherwise no charge. The group meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 7.00pm-9.00pm in coffee bar at FPCC so mark that in your diary.

Contact Sue Butterfield if you are interested or have any other enquiries. Email

House Groups

Belonging to a house group is a wonderful way to explore faith and enjoy the fellowship of Christian friends. House groups are small groups of usually 6-12 people who meet regularly (not necessary weekly), studying together, encouraging each other and forming firm friendships.
We have six house groups in the parish and are always happy to start more. If you would like to join a group, or find out more please contact me Sally Hastings
