November saw good progress as the completion date draws near.

Externally – the West Porch is well on its way having been held up by delayed delivery of special bricks and the weather has also played its part as well.  It is still debatable as to whether it will be complete by the Christmas break.

Groundwork – again has been partly weather dependent but it is hoped that will be completed before Christmas

Guttering and down pipes have been fixed

Internally – Chancel – Works nearing completion.

Floor tiling now complete except for final clean – most of the tiling is the original tiles all individually cleaned but there has had to be new ones added

Pulpit – was removed brick by brick and taken to Cliveden Conservation workshop for cleaning and repair – this has now been rebuilt and looks wonderful – as shown by the picture (right).

North Door – a new door has been fitted and the original South door restored and now in place.

AV – much work has been carried out for the installation of the AV system

West End – the glass interior porch is nearing completion

Lefroy Monument – this was very badly damaged by the fire and has been cleaned and made safe but there is still much evidence of the damage done.

The heating is working and the lights are all ready to be commissioned.

Contents – 200 chairs have been ordered and will hopefully be in place mid-February and a new altar, lectern and credence table ordered but not expected to be delivered until Easter.  Memorial book stand is being made for us and small tables for the West End also.

The Building Group’s final site meeting with Buxtons will be in January.
