There has been good progress on the site over the last four weeks.

Work on the new West entrance is well under way, with the opening formed through the wall and the door frame installed. The main structure walls are rising, but there will be a break in activity in October to allow the new Rose Window to be installed above, after which the porch roof and other final items can be completed.

In the Chancel area, lower level roof works are now finished along with leadwork and areas adjacent to the plant room. The scaffold has been cleared and final works, including those to complete the heating installation, are ongoing.

The rebuild of the pulpit is in progress along with final decorative works – as access becomes available. New gas and electricity meters are installed and testing of new services has started.

Externally, gutter reinstatement and decoration are in progress.

While the risk of a further delay to the project remains, our contractors have been working hard to mitigate this risk as much as possible.
