Easter & Holy Week 2018

Holy Week is  upon us … have you planned which services and events you are going to take part in? These are some of the options (please note this is slightly different from the parish magazine):

Thank you to Oscar for designing our Easter Parich magazine cover.

  • Monday 26 March- The Alternative Stations of the Cross, 7.30pm, FPCC. Reflection and meditations on the main events of Holy Week leading to the Cross.
  • Tuesday 27 March- Silent Eucharist, 7.30pm, P&J. A Silent Eucharist is done through actions and just being in God’s presence through prayer and Sacrament. It is a reflective service, ideal for Holy Week when we are preparing ourselves to walk with Christ towards the Cross and all that meant, and means today.
  • Wednesday 28 March- Godly Play, 7.30pm, FPCC. Come and hear the story “Jesus and Jerusalem” told in the Godly Play style. This is not a full Godly Play session like we do with the children and you will be able to sit on a chair – please let the Parish Office know if you plan to come though as it will help us to lay out the right size circle of chairs.
  • Maundy Thursday 29 March- Eucharist with Feet Washing, 7.30pm, P&J, followed by a watch until midnight.
  • Good Friday Friday 30 March
Good Friday Liturgy, 9.30am at FPCC
All Age Stations of the Cross, 9.30am at Ss Philip and James
An Hour at the Cross, 2.00pm at FPCC
  • Saturday 31 March
    Easter Vigil 8.00pm at FPCC
    at All Saints (FPCC)
    10.00am All Age Eucharist
    at Ss Philip and James
    8.00am Holy Communion (1662)
10.00am Sung Eucharist (CW) with Junior Church and Crèche
