Diocesan Summer School comes to P&J

The Diocesan Summer School will soon be upon us. This year’s theme, finding_freedom_coverin recognition of the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta, is Finding Freedom. For a change the Summer School is branching out and coming to Hampshire, and not only to Hampshire but to P&J. On Tuesday 7th July we shall be hosting a film night, showing a documentary entitled Open Bethlehem. To quote from the brochure:

Film director Leila Sansour returns to Bethlehem to make a film about her home town, soon to be encircled by a wall, and is persuaded to stay to start a campaign to save the city. The highly acclaimed ‘Open Bethlehem’ is a story of a homecoming to the world’s most famous little town which reveals a city of astonishing beauty, caught up in political strife.

You will need to book by 22nd June to confirm your place. The booking form can be downloaded via the Diocese of Guildford website where you can also find the brochure with the rest of the Summer School programme. Alternatively there should be copies of the brochure in both churches and Chantelle will have booking forms in the parish office. The Summer School lasts from 6th to 24th July with an enormous variety of events.
