More than £10,000 has been raised so far from the charity abseil at Guildford Cathedral on Saturday 5 October.

The 40 brave participants aged from 16 to 80 climbed the 249 steps of the Cathedral’s spiral staircase before embarking on the 160ft decent, all in aid of Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.

Other teams taking part included paracanoeist Tim Lodge’s ‘The Three Amigos’, a team from Sainsbury’s, Fleet as well as Mayor of Guildford, Councillor Diana Lockyer-Nibbs.
